There is a limited selection of pre-paid credit cards available in Canada. Prepaid credit cards are for people with poor credit or that have recently declared bankruptcy and cannot get a regular credit card including a secured credit card. The cardholder uses the card by putting a cash deposit on the card giving it a balance that can be spent similar to a debit card (minus any applicable fees.)
